VPN Assistant
You are only a few steps away from the Open-Xchange zone
OX protects some of its systems by excluding public access. Therefore, you need a VPN connection to access these systems.
Here we explain how to set up the connection:
- 1. Launch the VPN 2.0 tile on the Login Dashboard (https://login.open-xchange.com).
If the tile is greyed out, you can easily make an access request.
- 2. Log in to the VPN portal with your OX access data (first name.last name):
- 3. Choose the suitable software package for your operating system.
- You can download executable packages for Windows & MacOS.
- For Linux, iOS, Android you will receive further instructions.
- 4. Download your personal VPN profile file.
- 5. Start the installation.
- MacOS: Open the .DMG file and double klick the .pkg file to start the installation process. The password you have to enter is the local password from your Mac.
- Windows: Double klick the .EXE file to start the installation process.
- 6. Start the installed "OpenVPN Connect" client, close the onboarding tour and accept "App Data Usage".
- 7. Add a new profile with . Then select the "file" option (1) and conveniently drag your previously downloaded "profile file" onto the upload area (2).
- 8. Start the connection by pressing the slider.
